The Institute’s mission is to educate students in a broad range of practical skills and concepts involving the gathering, editing and presentation of information. The purpose is not just to train candidates for the next job in the field, but to educate them for significant careers.

The hope is that IIJNM journalists will not only be competent practitioners by today’s standards, but also that they will help raise those standards.
