course has its associated number of credits in order to graduate.
One-year
Postgraduate Diploma in Television, Radio, Print, and Online/Multimedia Journalism:
In order to receive the diploma, the student must obtain a total
of 60 credits for Print or 60 credits for Television
or 60 credits for Radio, 60 credits for Online/Multimedia, and complete the core
courses including advanced area seminars and advanced concentration
seminars, media workshops, electives
and a master's thesis project.
One-year
Diploma in Television, Radio, Print, and Online/Multimedia Journalism: In order
to receive the diploma, the student must obtain a total of 53 credits
for Print or 53 credits for Television or 53 credits
for Radio, or 53 credits for Online/Multimedia, and complete the required core
courses, media workshops electives.
IIJNM has a
Pass/Fail system of grading. Midway through each semester, the instructors
evaluate and brief students on their progress. If the faculty determines
that a student is not making satisfactory academic progress, the
student may be given a written warning. An advisor may be assigned
to help the student overcome his or her difficulties. In more serious
instances, a student may be suspended or dismissed from the Institute.
Everyone is expected to adhere to IIJNM's policies on conduct
and discipline.
