The Indian Institute of Journalism & New Media invites you to participate in a Media Watch Public Lecture by Prof. Robert Jensen on the topic: “Is Social Media a Threat to Democracy?”

Social media has become an integral part of communication. News organisations have become more active on social media. Social media has also become a minefield of misinformation and fake news waiting to wreak havoc. The lecture aims to kick off the New Year by exploring the different dimensions of social media in a democratic setting.
