Samyuktha Varma is the co-founder of Vaaka Media. She has had a longstanding interest in figuring out how to talk about hard topics, which is one of the many reasons why she loves podcasts.
Samyuktha has worked as a writer and researcher with NGOs, large and small, across South Asia, on issues such as social protection, natural resource management, and agriculture, and waste and its reuse. In 2010 she co-authored Out of Water – From Abundance to Scarcity and How to Solve the World’s Water Problems, published by the Financial Times Press. She also co-founded Broken Toilets, a global development and culture magazine. In 2017, Samyuktha created In the Field with Radhika Viswanathan to showcase the voices of India’s development sector and introduce audiences to its inner workings.
