Satarupa holds an MA in English with Communication Studies from Christ University, Bengaluru. She is passionate about death studies, gender studies, and popular culture.

Satarupa’s interests lie in content writing and social work. She has worked both as a content writer and as a journalist for brief periods of time. She spent some time in The Statesman where she worked as a reporter and writer. She has volunteered in various educational events. Her interest in theatre has led her to work backstage.

She is also interested in research. Her research paper, “Gender Equity in Addressing the Multiplicity Within “Masculinity” Through Popular Culture”, was named the best paper at an International Conference and was published in Springer Science+Business Media.
